Theresa May: There will be no EU vote

The British prime minister ensures that EU negotiations can be completed within two years.

British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has said to the BBC that a parliamentary election will now generate stability for a prolonged period.

"An election in 2020 would have disrupted the negotiations with the EU during a crucial time," said May, reiterating that there will be no new referendum on the UK exit from the EU.
