EU Commission sends Gazprom deal to market hearing

Gazprom has made so many concessions, that the EU Competitions Commissioner Margrethe Vestager now believes that the Russian company has complied with the EU's rules. Before the case is closed, it will be sent to market consultation.

BRUSSELS

After almost two years of investigation, the EU's Competitions Commissioner Margrethe Vestager is now so pleased with the concessions made by Russian gas company Gazprom, that she believes that the company lives up to EU rules. Before the agreement closes, however, it shall be sent to consultation among parties in the energy markets.
