Owners of Denmark's largest gas company weigh massive divestments

The Danish government has put forth a supply strategy which is now prompting several municipalities to secretly consider whether or not Denmark's biggest gas company should be split up and divested in parts.

2017 looks poised to be a fateful year for Denmark's largest gas company HMN Naturgas.

The owners are currently conducting a confidential, yet comprehensive, analysis of the company's future, and before long the 57 Danish municipalities with ownership of the company, will decide if the company should carry out massive divestments of the distribution network and the commercial business, sources tell EnergyWatch.
