While countries the world over are increasing their consumption of wind energy, several US republican politicians in the state of Wyoming are determined to halt it, according to Inside Climate News.

Politicians want to prohibit manufacturers of wind energy from selling their electricity within the state, instead relying on electricity generated by coal-fired plants.
