These are the three most influential energy MEPs in the EU

European think tank VoteWatch has released a new study naming the three most influential MEPs in the EU when it comes to energy policy. Not surprisingly, a Polish MEP takes the lead.

The most influential Member of the European Parliament (MEP) when it comes to the energy sector is the Chair of the dedicated Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, Poland's Jerzy Buzek, according to a new study from European think tank VoteWatch.

The study names Claude Turmes from Luxembourg as the second-most influential, who alongside Danish MEP Morten Helveg Pedersen was co-founder of Energy Solutions, and is also coordinator of the group of green parties in the Parliament, among other positions.
