Donald Trump seems to be tempering many of his previous bold statements from the campaign trail. For one, the US president-elect no longer plans to throw his opposing candidate Hillary Clinton in jail as previously stated, and similarly, he is no longer maintaining that the US will definitely withdraw from last year's climate deal, writes The New York Times.
But Donald Trump also avoids saying that the US will remain part of the deal. In the interview with the US newspaper, he instead says that he is "looking at it very closely".
