Russian minister accused of taking bribe from oil company

The Russian Minister of Economic Development, Alexei Ulyukayev, is under suspicion of accepting a large bribe from the oil company Rosneft.

The Russian Minister of Economic Development, Alexei Ulyukayev, has been detained by police for allegedly taking a bribe. According to Russia's Investigative Committee, Ulyukayev has received more than EUR 1.8 million from the oil and gas company Rosneft, writes Reuters.

The Investigative Committee will soon elaborate on the charges. As of now, it remains unclear what exactly the minister has done.
