UK presents plan to phase out coal

The UK government has set out a trade plan for how the country will phase out coal ahead to 2025.

While yesterday's victory for Trump is expected to increase US energy production from coal, the UK government has published its plan for how Great Britain will phase out its use of coal.

The plan is not so much a deadline for the closure of the remaining coal-based power plants, but rather a move to create guidelines in order to ensure high security of supply when the plants ultimately close.
