Denmark could slash 6,200 jobs by abandoning coastal wind farms

The prospect of 6,200 new jobs, to be generated from the establishment of coastal wind turbines in Denmark, may never become reality if the Danish government succeeds in shooting down the coastal wind plans.

Denmark's government is considering calling off plans to establish offshore wind turbines near Danish coasts, and this means that the prospect of thousands of new jobs may never become reality, reports Danish media Berlingske on the background of an internal note from the country's government.

The note determines that the construction of coastal wind turbines would be able to create jobs for 6,200 people over four years.
