The energy market is in an extraordinary situation, with demand at an extreme high amid almost empty stockpiles, reports Danish business daily Børsen.

Gas supply, in particular, is creating major challenges. Deliveries from both Russia and the US have been smaller than expected. There's also been a price surge for carbon quotas, resulting in heavier draw on gas inventories.
