Green politicians call for removal of LNG on EU shortlist of new fuels

LNG must be eliminated from the list of future alternative fuels, FuelEU, says the spokesman of green parties in the European Parliament, Michael Bloss, to ShippingWatch. Further, ETS must be much more ambitious.

LNG is a fossil fuel that should be eliminated from the list of new alternative fuels, FuelEU, which the EU Commission presented in July.

This is the clear message from Michael Bloss, German spokesman of the entire bloc of green parties in the European Parliament.
