Interest group says Norwegian government needs to speed up electrification

While acceleration is needed to achieve climate goals, one of the political parties comprising Norway's election winners is cause for concern due to its desire to cease oil extraction, says Equinor representative.

The incoming Norwegian government will be in quite a hurry if it's to deliver on the climate goal planned for achievement before 2030 by the three parties likely to comprise the government.

Whereas the Labour and Centre parties plan for Norwegian emissions to be reduced by 55 percent before 2030, The Socialist Left instead proposes a goal of reducing by 70 percent before the end of the decade.
