Power flows in southern Sweden after 22 delays

With the SydVästlänken connector operational, the bottlenecks between northern and southern Sweden have now been removed.

There have been major technical challenges to getting the SydVästlänken connector in place, but now it seems that northern and southern Sweden can avoid bottlenecks going forward.

After no less than 22 delays, the high-voltage, direct-current (HVDC) connection is now operational, writes transmission system operator Svenska Kraftnät in a statement.
