Media: Biden plans to halve US emissions by 2030

The new US objective will reportedly be announced at the opening of the president's climate summit planned for Thursday and Friday.

US President Joe Biden will present plans to halve the nation's greenhouse gas emissions before 2030, reports AP, citing an anonymous source close to the Biden administration.

The scope of these reductions were first mentioned by the Washington Post on Tuesday.
