Vitol pays USD 135 million in settlement with authorities in bribery case

The world's largest commodity trader, Vitol, has reached a settlement with US and Brazilian authorities, in which Vitol pays USD 135 million to end a case concerning bribery in multiple countries.

Commodity trader Vitol will pay USD 135 million to authorities in the US and Brazil in a case concerning bribes.

Vitol has reached a settlement with the US Department of Justice, in which the commodity trader admits to having bribed its way to contracts in Brazil, Ecuador and Mexico, informs the Department of Justice.
