EIB to fund climate projects with EUR 1trn

Over the next ten years, the European Investment Bank will send roughly EUR 1 trillion into the economy in support of climate projects, the bank says just after launching a climate strategy.

EU member state-owned European Investment Bank (EIB) has just agreed on a plan turn itself into a climate bank, writes news agency Agence Europe.

As a part of the plan, initially meant to run between 2021 and 2025, the EIB has set a target to mobilize EUR 1 trillion in green project funding.
