Danish Energy Agency invites bidders to offshore wind market dialog on 1.2 GW

In late November, the agency will host a market dialog with potential bidders on the development of the forthcoming Hesselø offshore wind farm, where there's space for 200 MW in bonus capacity earmarked for batteries or PtX.

Preparations for tendering Denmark's coming offshore wind farm, Thor, have been underway for several years now. The situation is different for the Hesselø project, which entered from the sidelines through the government's climate policy this summer.

The project has been moved ahead in the queue, so the forthcoming installation is now supposed to commission in 2027. Most recently, Danish transmission system operator Energinet launched its preliminary assessments for the project on Oct. 1 this year.
