Energy sector to be the engine of Sweden's green transition

During the next 25 years, Sweden's power consumption will rise by what corresponds to one and half times the consumption of neighboring Denmark. But if the country is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045, it needs to accelerate its power grid build-out, says industry organization Swedenergy.

That's what industry organization Swedenergy and platform Fossil Free Sweden aspire to be, according to their roadmap toward a net-zero emissions Sweden by 2045, presented today at a press meeting in Stockholm.
