UK and EU postpone Brexit

The UK's prime minister has accepted the EU's offer to postpone Brexit until Oct. 31 – at the latest.

Thursday, the UK and the EU have agreed to postpone Brexit until autumn.

The idea is to let the British government have time to gather parliamentary majority vote for an exit agreement to avoid a chaotic and expensive withdrawal from the EU.
