Pressure intensifies pressure on Germany to open borders to Danish power

A major EU competitions case concerning opening the German market to Danish power could soon be decided, reports Danish daily Jyllands-Posten.

For decades, the export of Danish power has been hindered from entering Germany, prompting EU Competitions Commissioner Margrethe Vestager to investigate the issue. A ruling is expected soon, reports Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

The case is a major issue for the EU's inner energy market policy. Danish players hope the Commission will use its decision to highlight that the EU's inner market must remain open, including for power.
