EU considers tariffs on imported steel and aluminum

In the coming weeks, steel and aluminum imported to the EU could become subject to tariffs. The EU Commission is currently considering whether the added tariffs are necessary in order to protect the European market.

There is a risk that steel and aluminum, intended for the US market, will instead end up in Europe as the US has put tariffs on imports of the two metals.
