Balkan political dispute is stopping clocks across Europe

A lobby organization is calling for European politicians to intervene in a conflict between Serbia and Kosovo, which is causing disturbances across most of the continent.

An ongoing Balkan conflict seems to involve two definitions of the word power: electricity and political control.

Serbia and Kosovo are in the midst of a political conflict causing an imbalance across most of Europe. The dispute concerns the frequency balance in the electricity grid, and the organization ENTSO-E "is urging European and national governments and policy makers to take swift action."
