The directive for renewable energy, the directive for energy efficiency and the law on governance of the Energy Union – three legislative texts to be considered by the European Parliament today when they vote on a joint negotiation mandate. As the texts were only narrowly passed in the Parliament's committees on Environment, Public Health and Safety Committee (ENVI) and Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), all MEPs must now take a stance on what their position will be when the three directives are to be negotiated with EU nations in the EU Council.
