US to Denmark: Stop the pipeline

The US thinks that Nord Stream 2, which passes through the Baltic Sea, should not be built at all, and the country is trying to stop the project. But the company behind the pipeline says that everything is going according to plan.

Denmark's Parliament will pass legislation this Thursday allowing the government to reject the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 to pass through the Baltic Sea for international security reasons. When the legislation is settled, Washington will be keeping an eye on what is announced.
