Danish pension funds see rising prices and growing risk in wind

Pension funds try to take every precaution when it comes to risk in a squeezed market, where a rising number of investors are looking to energy projects, explain the funds in a survey conducted by FinansWatch and EnergyWatch among some of Denmark's largest pension players.

Investments in energy projects are the new trend. For Danish pension funds, the goal is about making sizeable returns in relation to the risk that is taken on in the projects.

But when the market is overflowing with investment-hungry capital, returns are declining and and do not always justify the risk taken on by pension funds, explain Danish funds in a survey conducted by FinansWatch and EnergyWatch among some of the country's largest pension players.
