The main message in the new report, China Renewable Energy Outlook 2017 (CREO) is that China has already implemented several crucial steps in the overall ambition of phasing out fossil fuels in the energy sector, and this has resulted in CO2 emissions, energy consumption and the use of coal all being on track to peak before 2030.
