Over the autumn, DCC Energi, which operates Shell stations in in Denmark, will add 15 new petrol stations to its network. This is the result of a deal with several independent dealers under Circle K, which will now enter the fleet of Shell petrol stations. Shell's total number of stations in Denmark will thus grow from 209 to 204.
"We have announced that we would like to grow our station network. The deal with the new parties should be seen in that light. We are still looking with interest at opportunities to expand our retail business, ideally with new dealers, but also other ways. The fact is, that we want the independent dealers, and we can give them a good framework in which to drive a healthy business under the Shell network," says Møller Maretti, head of retail at DCC Energi, in a press release.
