Axess Group has successfully landed a Total Rig Integrity Management contract on all KCA Deutag's offshore drilling operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The award covers eight fixed drilling platforms and an additional two Category J jack-up rigs, Askeladden and Askepott, arriving from South Korea this year.
Initially awarded for four years, the agreement includes options for two 2-year extensions, potentially running for a total of 8 years. The scope encompasses Enterprise of Competence, Drilling equipment inspections, Risk based inspections, Dropped object prevention, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and Rope access.
"This project places Axess in a prime position to expand on the great collaboration we have established over the years with KCAD covering engineering solutions. We are extremely satisfied to be awarded with this key long-term contract as it further increases our market share on the NCS," says Axess Group CEO Børge Gjeldvik.
KCAD has a history of strong and lasting cooperation with Axess on a number of engineering disciplines. Satisfaction from the previous years' integrity management solutions, the TRIM service delivery concept, and our experience working with the CAT J units in South Korea, are the key factors for winning this award.
