Maersk selling its share in UK oil field

Premier Oil and Perenco are buying stakes in a UK oil field from Maersk.

Maersk Group has sold its share in the UK oil field Wytch Farm to oil companies Premier Oil and Perenco, according to a press release from Premier Oil, Monday.

In the fall of 2016, it was believed that Maersk Oil would divest 7.4 percent of its ownership stake to Rockrose Energy, but Premier and Perenco have exercised their preemptive rights to acquisition.
