Dong Energy expects to reduce its staff by 115 to 135 employees. Discussions have begun with employee representatives and the redundancy negotiations are expected concluded by June 8 at the latest, writes the Danish energy major in the wake of the divestment of its oil and gas division to Swiss Ineos.
The layoffs are in addition to the approximately 440 positions which will disappear from Dong along with the actual divestment to Ineos. The employees of the oil and gas division – including former Head of Oil & Gas, David Cook – will be transferred to the Swiss company when the transaction is complete.
