Shell books "strong first quarter"

"A strong quarter," says Shell's CEO after the company's revenue skyrocketed by 72 percent.

Revenue at Shell grew by 72 percent and the bottom line also saw a major leap.

Sales in the first quarter 2016 amounted to USD 48.5 billion (EUR 44.4 billion) and this figure shot up to USD 73.3 billion in 2017. The profit also saw significant growth.
