Oil companies sue Airbus for Turøy accident

Three US-based oil companies have filed three individual lawsuits against Airbus Helicopters, reports Norwegian TV2. The companies accuse the helicopter manufacturer of production flaws and of withholding information in the wake of the Turøy accident in April 2016.

Three oil companies in the US are now suing Airbus Helicopters in the wake of the tragic helicopter accident in Trurøy in Norway where 13 people were killed en route to a drilling rig in the North Sea in April last year.

The companies in question are Wells Fargo, ENC Capital Corporation, and ERA Group, all of which are customers of Airbus. The companies have filed three individual lawsuits against the helicopter manufacturer.
