BP trims CEO annual salary by 40 percent

After criticism from shareholders, the head of the British oil company is taking a large wage reduction. However, his new salary will probably suffice.

CEO at British BP, Bob Dudley, has taken a 40 percent wage cut. This is the result of a comprehensive evaluation of the renumeration policy at the British oil company compared with factors including shareholder dividends.

This evaluation led to a new policy for future renumeration including lower annual bonuses with more challenging targets, BP writes in its 2016 annual report.
