Semco signs "historic" deal with Maersk

The squeezed oil services supplier has entered into the largest manpower contract in the company's history.

Semco Maritime has entered a five-year manpower contract with Maersk Oil, announcing that it will provide both hourly workers and salaried staff for operations in the North Sea. The value of the new contract has not been revealed, but it is apparently the "largest in the company's history."

"We are pleased with the confidence that Maersk Oil and Gas shows Semco Maritime by the award of this major contract and we are looking forward to continuing the cooperation. We consider it an acknowledgement of our competent employees and our high safety focus", says Steen Brødbæk, CEO Semco Maritime, in a press release.
