Danish prime minister to pass Russian gas pipeline on to the EU

The EU must evaluate the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream II, located in the Baltic, says Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

Denmark should not bear the burden of assessing whether or not the Russian gas pipeline Nord Stream II should pass through the Baltic. The EU Commission should look into the matter based on a greater context, Denmark's Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen tells Danish daily Jyllands-Posten.

"At the next European summit later this week, I intend to appeal to the EU Commission to have Nord Stream II evaluated in a broader context," says Løkke Rasmussen.
