Fredriksen takes aim at former Seadrill management

In Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv, John Fredriksen lashes out at the former finance division at Seadrill in the wake of the company's current financial dififculties. "We are now once again in a bind because of these finance people," says the shipping billionaire.

That Seadrill is currently in the midst of severe financial difficulties and working to find a rescue plan for the company is largely the responsibility of former CFO Tor Olav Trøim and his division, says controlling shareholder of the drilling rig company, John Fredriksen, in an interview with Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringsliv.

He says that Seadrill has, since 2014 when Trøim left the company, been trying to clean up the financial mess it currently finds itself in.
