Media: Negotiations between Dong and Maersk Oil reach standstill

Disagreement over price means negotiations for a merger between Dong Energy O&G and Maersk Oil have hit a roadblock, reports Reuters.

There have long been rumors that Dong Energy and Maersk may end up merging their oil activities.

Both companies want to ultimately divest their divisions, and with a merger, the companies will be able to manage their oil businesses better before the ultimate sale or IPO of a merged company.
