Norwegian Aker Solutions has won the contract with Statoil to upgrade the Mongstad Terminal near Bergen. The terminal will be ready to handle oil from the Johan Sverdrup field from the end of 2019.
This is according to a press release from the two companies. The order is worth NOK 350 million (USD 42 million) and includes engineering work, procurement and construction of the plant which will receive the oil from Johan Sverdrup. The plant includes a so-called pig receiver - a maintenance tool to clean the oil pipeline - for the Johan Sverdrup pipeline.
