Nord Stream 2 deadline extended after approval suspension

German public authorities' suspension of the approval process for the pipeline means that Gazprom and other project backers must arm themselves with further patience.


Russian-German natural gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 has been a long time in the making – and has been hit with a wave of challenges throughout the process.

Tuesday, shortly before the pipeline was set to enter operation, another issue has turned up that's delaying commissioning.
