British-Dutch Shell has just appointed Upsteam Director Wael Sawan to lead its Integrated Gas and Renewables & Energy Solutions division – and thereby also the group's aim to achieve net carbon neutrality by 2050, reports Reuters.
The 47-year old executive is seen by many as a possible successor to Chief Executive Ben van Beurden, with Huibert Vigeveno also noted as a candidate for the CEO job, the news agency writes.
