Maersk Drilling preferred rig supplier to CCS project Greensand

The rig operator has signed a framework agreement with Ineos and Wintershall Dea on delivery of drilling rigs to the Danish CCS project.

The Nini Joint Venture between Ineos Oil & Gas Denmark and Wintershall Dea builds upon its collaboration with Maersk Drilling with a new framework agreement stipulating that the rig operator will handle delivery of drilling rigs to carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project Greensand in the Danish North Sea, Maersk Drilling writes in a statement.

Maersk Drilling is thus confirmed as preferred supplier and has secured the rights to all drilling rig work at Greensand until the end of 2027, though dependent on whether the project secures the needed subsidies and investments.
