Chevron triples green investments to USD 10bn

Additional funds must go to green technologies following sharpened climate requirements, with renewables, hydrogen and carbon capture set to be favorites.


US oil giant Chevron plans to triple its investments in cleaner technologies to USD 10bn ahead of 2028, the company writes in a statement.

Besides the tripled investment in green technology, the company also poses clear growth targets in technologies like Power-to-X (PtX), carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) and renewable fuels.
