Shell and MSC join forces for LNG push in shipping

LNG is a viable path for the green transition efforts in shipping, say oil company Shell and container carrier MSC. The two parties are launching a collaboration to advance the use of fossil and bio-LNG as marine fuels.

Oil company Shell and the second-largest container carrier in the world, MSC, have launched a new venture, which not least seeks to strike a blow for liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the marine fuel of the future in shipping.

The two parties will explore the opportunities for using LNG as a transition fuel for shipping as part of the green transition efforts.
