Trafigura books billion-dollar profit in first half of 2021

Trafigura reports advancing on both its top and bottom line for the first six months of 2021 when net profit grew to USD 2.1 billion.

Commodity trader Trafigura reports achieving higher revenue and profit in the first six months of 2021, booking billions of US dollars in on the bottom line.

The company's half-year results for the period ending in March show an increase in revenue of 19 percent to USD 98.4 billion. Net profits grew to USD 2.1 billion, up from USD 500 million in the same period last year, according to a press release issued Thursday.
