Visit the website of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global, and you will likely notice the counter on the front page that continuously shows the fund's market value. The counter can seem dizzying, not just because of the constant fluctuations, but also due to the number itself.
At the time of writing, the counter shows NOK 11.13trn (EUR 1.11trn), excluding further decimals for readability. This would be enough to pay out NOK 2.05bn to each Norwegian citizen.
