Chevron pursues hydrogen partnership

The oil company targets a strategic alliance with car manufacturer Toyota.

In the days leading up to the climate summit called by US President Joe Biden, starting Thursday, there has been no shortage of climate-related declarations from the biggest oil outfits in the country.

BP came first with a pledge to halt flaring in the Permian Basin. Then Exxon Mobil launched a plan for a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) plant in Houston. And now Chevron joins the group of oil supermajors with green announcements.
