Germany, US in talks on Nord Stream 2

The US warns that Russia can use the gas pipeline to pressure Europe. Ongoing pipe-laying in Danish waters is expected to finish in April.

There are ongoing talks between the US and German federal governments regarding gas pipeline Nord Stream 2, which will transmit Russian gas to Europe.

A Berlin spokesperson says as much on Friday, without disclosing further details.
