Aker to study CCS alongside Elkem

The two Norwegian firms will jointly assess the possibility of implementing CCS technology at Elkem's smelting facilities.

Like many others, Norwegian industrial firm Elkem has a goal of achieving carbon-neutral production. But for this succeed, the company must figure out what to do with the carbon dioxide produced in its metal manufacturing.

Enter Aker Carbon Capture, compatriot CCS firm, which will now conduct a feasibility study of a solution for Elkem's facilities, the companies state in a stock exchange notice.
