US investment firm moves to transform Danish refinery with yet another acquisition

Postlane Partners is aiming to boost its exposure to waste-to-energy, biofuels and renewables – but still wants to maintain focus on crude oil. Much of the needed material will be secured via a planned purchase of a global recycling giant.

It's not going to be business as usual when Postlane Partners, a US-based investment firm specialized in optimizing energy portfolios, executes its planned takeover of Shell's Danish business unit.

The US company has otherwise been attracted to Shell's refinery in Western Denmark's Fredericia for the facility's waste-to-energy processing potential.
