Two new players awarded Northern Lights contracts

Subsea 7 and Aibel win deals from Norway's big CCS project, where most contracts have already been allocated.

Two new contracts are now awarded for Northern Lights, a large Norwegian carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project, confirms consortium partner Equinor.

Subsea 7 has won an EPCI contract for pipe-laying and seabed installations worth an estimated NOK 500 million (EUR 46.5 million), entailing 100 kilometers of pipe to transmit CO2 from shore out to an injection well under the North Sea.
